Meaning Search & Agent-Aware MCP Tools

Find a session by what it was about rather than the words it used, with a model that runs entirely on your Mac. Agents can now check your plan limits, see what is running right now, and search by the files a session touched.

  • Meaning search: ask for "the session where I fixed the flaky login test" and find it even when none of those words appear (free on every tier)
  • Runs fully on-device with a ~60 MB model downloaded once, only if you turn it on — nothing leaves your Mac
  • New agent_usage_limits MCP tool: session and weekly windows spent, reset times, per-model limits, and pay-as-you-go credits
  • Session queries can return only sessions with a live process, and the working directory each is in
  • Find every session that touched a given file
  • Search results quote the matching text, so you can pick the right session without opening it
  • Fixed: forked and resumed sessions no longer double-count the history they inherit, so cost totals are correct

Decide how often ACTVT interrupts you. Repeats from one project arrive as a single summary, projects can be muted from the notification itself, and agents can now say in their own words why they stopped.
